WELCOME IN ROUEN

Rouen is the capital of the French region Haute-Normandie located in the North West corner of France near the English channel.

Rouen and its suburbs gather more than 650000 inhabitants, that is, the 12th largest urban area of France.

The University of Rouen (now Normandy University) is split over six different sites across the city, gathering around 27000 students in 11 institutes.

Historically, Rouen is famous for being the place where Joan of Arc was judged and burned in 1431.

It is also worldwide known to host the Armada event during which magnificent boats from all over the world gather on the Seine river. The last representation in June 2018 brought together 4 to 6 millions persons from France and abroad during 11 days.
